February,  National Spay/Neuter Month

February 26 is National Spay Day. By spaying and neutering your pet, you can help prevent more unwanted pets and let your dog or cat have a longer, healthier life. Reasons for spaying and neutering your dog or cat:

Reduces your pet's cancer risk.  Sterilized pets are healthier.
Saves on vet bills.
Eliminates messy and annoying heat cycles.
Greatly reduces urine spraying and marking.
Stops pets from roaming.
Increases your pet's loyalty.
Lengthens you pet's life.  Sterilized pets live longer.
Protects children from dog bites--neutering reduces aggression.
Stops pet overpopulation and reduces the number of unwanted pets killed in    shelters.

The only way to control dog and cat overpopulation and the killing of adoptable animals is by decreasing birth rates.  It is estimated that four to five MILLION dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters every year simply because there are no homes for them.  Please spay or neuter your pets.

June 7 - La Grange Pet Parade  Triple R Pets will be represented this year in the La Grange Pet Parade.  You will be able to see us in our Cat and Mouse Mobile. 

July 12 - Annual Triple R Pets’ Great Finds Garage Sale.  Our garage sale specializes in items you didn’t know existed and now you cannot live without. 

September

September 20 at 9:00 AM to September 21 at 9 PM Triple R Pets will be holding an Online Auction.  Sit in the comfort of your home, put your feet up, and share a glass of wine with your friends or spouse while you bid on exciting items featured on our website.  This auction is far better than bidding on eBay because in our auction all the proceeds go directly to benefit the animals.

October 16 - National Feral Cat Day  Feral cats are cats that live outside and seek no contact with humans.  Other outdoor cats may be strays that are socialized but have been abandoned or kittens that can be socialized.  To read more about our program to help these cats click here.
